BECOME A VOLUNTEER
 
 

 

SCOPE OF AREAS WHERE WE ARE IN NEED OF VOLUNTEERS:

PAUL JUNGNICKEL HOME AND SENIOR HOME FOR DISABLED ADULTS

 

Host a birthday party, take a resident on an outing, play games, reading, painting nails, 

anything goes.  Our residents are excited to get to know new people and 

spending time with them.

 

COMMUNITY PROJECTS WITH SOCIAL WORK SERVICES

 

Assist with an upliftment project or lend a hand to people in need

in the Pretoria-East Community

 

ACTIVITIES WORKSHOP

 

Spend time assisting with simple arts & crafts sessions, fine motor skills activities, 

simple exercises, singing, dancing and everything fun.

 

PROTECTIVE WORKSHOP

 

The Protective Workshop offers an environment for our disabled residents to develop 

their skills and to earn an income through the products they make 

to supplement their disability grants.  Products from leather work, needle work, 

wood work, beading to anything you can think of made by the residents, 

are sold at the Nickel Christmas Market.

 

OPERATIONAL DEPARTMENTS

 

The Operational Departments keeps the wheels turning of the organisation by doing 

as much it can with as little as it can.  Get involved with our Gardens, Maintenance, 

Transport, OHS, Logistics, HR, Finance, Marketing, Fundraising Projects, 

Donations Shop or ICT/Graphic Design Team by volunteering your expertise or resources.

 

EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT CENTRE

 

Get involved and be part by offering to be a class assistant, presenting fine & 

gross motor development activities, or the general operations of the school by 

offering your skillset to make a difference.

 

About KWO

Kungwini Welfare Organisation started in 1983 when Paul Jungnickel Home was opened for adults with disabilities. Since then we have come a long way and now we offer medical care and residence to 140 disabled adults and 25 Senior adults in our Paul Jungnickel Home Senior that we opened in 2019.

We also offer social work services and projects to assist and uplift the whole community in our immediate area, including an Early Learning Centre that offers schooling for pre-school children of the community.
