Empowering Lives Through Community and Creativity
Our projects are designed to uplift, sustain, and empower. From the vibrant Nickel Christmas Market, our flagship fundraising event showcasing handcrafted goods by our disabled residents and local artisans, to the Second Chances Donation Site, where donated items are either used to meet essential needs or sold in our thrift store to generate vital funds—each initiative plays a crucial role in supporting our mission and enriching the lives of those we serve.

The Nickel Christmas Market: A Celebration of Community and Craftsmanship
Step into a world of creativity and purpose at our annual fundraiser, The Nickel Christmas Market, hosted from the last week of November over a 12 day period. This is not your average market but a vibrant showcase of talent and craftsmanship, competing with the best markets in the country. Our market has grown into a must-attend festive event, drawing thousands of visitors and featuring over 150 curated exhibitors.
What makes our market truly special is its heart. Hosted right on the grounds of the Kungwini Welfare Organisation, the event transforms our residents' dining halls, workshops, and offices into a bustling marketplace. By supporting this market, you're not just shopping—you're directly contributing to making a tangible difference in the lives of the vulnerable individuals we serve. Every purchase helps us continue our vital work and empowers the people who created these beautiful items.
Hosted on the grounds of Kungwini Welfare Organisation, the event transforms our residents’ dining halls, TV room, workshops, and staff offices into a bustling marketplace filled with heart and purpose.

Second Chances Donation Site: Giving Goods a Purpose
The Second Chances Donation Site plays a vital role in sustaining our mission. We gratefully receive in-kind donations that directly support the needs of our beneficiaries and operational units. Items that cannot be utilised internally are thoughtfully repurposed and sold in our thrift store, allowing us to raise additional funds while promoting sustainability. Every donation helps us extend care, dignity, and opportunity to those who need it most.
